Seasonal fun in Nottingham
Whatever time of year you stay with us at The Delta by Marriott Nottingham Belfry Hotel, there’s always plenty to do in Nottingham. Here are some of our favourite things to do each season…
DISCOVER WHAT'S ON
Bustler Market
Indulge yourself.
Running every Thursday-Saturday, this street food experience nestled in Sneinton Market is an excellent way to spend a sunny spring day. Hand-selected craft beers, cocktails and street food dishes await you, along with local DJs and live entertainment.
Stonebridge City Farm
Meet the animals.
Head to Stonebridge City in the spring to see the baby animals. At Stonebridge City Farm, they have pigs, cows, sheep, chickens and other farm animals, as well as a pair of meerkats, which can be seen in the barn.
Nottingham Arboretum
Discover Neverland.
Said to be the inspiration for Peter Pan’s Neverland, the 17-acre Arboretum is Nottingham’s green oasis. Boasting an eclectic mix of attractions, including tropical birds, looted war cannons, flower gardens and a pagoda, its charm has remained virtually unchanged for over a century.
Riverside Festival
Live it up at this three-day festival.
A free family event held every summer, the Riverside Festival takes place on the Victoria Embankment in Nottingham. Over 250,000 people attend the festival which focuses on live entertainment, street food and some truly incredible firework displays.
Goose Fair
Go for a ride.
Despite the name, the Goose Fair has nothing to do with geese. In fact, it’s a travelling funfair that arrives at the Forest Recreation Ground at the end of every September. There’s upwards of 500 rides, local artisan stalls and sometimes even livestock trading.
Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival
Raise a glass (or a few).
Nottingham’s very own Oktoberfest, the Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival is held at Trent Bridge every October. Featuring over 750 beers and 150 ciders, you’ll definitely enjoy yourself taste testing everything Nottingham has to offer.
Winter Wonderland
It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
Winter wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Winter Wonderland. As well as rides for thrill-seekers, you can find those one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts at some of the local artisan stalls. And you can enjoy a selection of warming winter food and drink.
Light Night
Bask in the light.
Every February sees a stunning light display spreads across Nottingham city centre for two days. It’s a free event, and several of the light displays are interactive – perfect for a chilly winter evening.
